CARA INTERLEAGUE CHAMPIONS
Congratulations to the 2010 CARA Interleague Championship winners, the League of Women Bowlers. This is the league's second consecutive year winning the championship, and the first time a league has won two years in a row. Well done, ladies!
MARY RICHARDS WINS MISS IGBABE TITLE
Another DC champion was crowned in Syracuse as Mary Richards (aka Gary Deinken) won the title of MISS IGBABE 2009. The Miss IGBABE contest is IGBO's annual drag show pageant held each year during the IGBO Mid-Year Tournament. You may remember that Mary won the title of Miss CARA at the Bowled & the Beautiful drag show in September. We are so proud of Mary for bringing the crown and sash to DC. Mary will relinquish her title next year on her home turf when the IGBO Mid-Year Tournament comes to Washington. Congratulations Mary!
CARA would like to congratulate its members for their achievements in the 2009 Capital Halloween Invitational Tournament, and the 2009 CHIT Committee for a job well done!
